Spain is a very beautiful country, with great people.
I have danced salsa with them in an other country (some of them will recognize themselves!)
I really liked the city (Mieres). There were a lot of attractions (the man with his bottle and glas) and strange statues (as in the picture), we went to the sea, we visited a mine, and so many other things.
It was my last trip with Grundtvig people, it was funny and emotional.

I will never thank you all enough for all these moments!

I have been to Asturias several times but never in Mieres.
The place was very beautiful and the food delicious.
I choose that photo because my grandfather is native from Asturias and used to work as a miner .
The photo was taken in the car park of the mine museum.
I enjoyed the museum and saw how my grandfather used to work and his working conditions.

I had already been to Spain and I had the feeling I knew the country. Yet, this mobility taught me that Europe has a richer culture, history and landscape than I thought. In Asturias, I visited a place I had never heard about and its beauty gave me goose bumps.
The surrounding hills and caves of Covadonga took my breath away while the Cathedral and statues made me travel in time. Plus having locals next to me, teaching me about their history, was something I’ve seen as true gift.
So I hope to ever come back there and in my turn introduce the place to someone else.

There are a lot of pictures that I love and I find it difficult to choose only one of them, because of all the visits and all the moments we lived which were offered by our great hosts and I really enjoyed this time with the fantastic people involved in this project. I particularly loved the carnival and the hospitality of the local people.
We were surrounded with great people. I will never forget it !

photo_Christian_EstoniaA picture from a tree at the entrance of Rapla, where we were housed in Estonia. You can see flags from the participating countries. I could write about the hospitality and the availability of our hosts who were with us from morning till night, the sweet weather, the calmness of the town, but it took just that tree and their flags to understand how important our trip was and that we were in for a wonderful experience. I will never forget those great three days.

It wasn’t easy to pick one single photo from all we had taken, but I chose this one from inside the Parliament of Latvia in the magnificent town of Riga. I feel grateful to our hosts in Latvia to have been able to visit such an important place for the country. I chose the picture where all of us were because at that time we also received our “diplomas’ from Grundtvig. It was the peak of our trip in Estonia and Latvia, meaning that we had really taken part in such an important thing and got to meet people from other countries, learn their cultures, enjoy their enormous hospitality and above all, practice and improve our English.

Grundtvig is a new way to prove that Europe is not only political ideas and projects. Europe is a mix of cultures, more or less different but with similar goals of exchange and sharing!
This trip is more than only remembrances : if it’s the beginning of a real friendship with some, it’s a deep desire to create bridges between countries in the EU!

Our trip to Estonia and Latvia was very nice, very different from the country I visited before and the breathtaking views in both countries were amazing.
I chose that photo because walking through a marsh was the first time for me and I loved it.
Walking in the nature …wild and peaceful.
I saw many different plants and insects.
Lovely place to relax!

I really appreciated this country. It’s really rare to have a sea side and on the other side a forest. Riga is a city with great and very hospitable people I hope to keep in touch with. I really enjoyed this adventure. But one of the most interesting visit was, for me, the tower where you can see the whole city : the monuments, the landscape, etc.
Thanks Latvian team !
